Twas the day before Christmas
and all I can see
are images of Bubbe
spread out before me.
The stockings are hung
by the stairway with care
but his little stocking
is no longer there.
I miss his sweet face
and his loving eyes
especially in the kitchen
when I was baking a pie.
Waldo the basset
is my biggest fan,
but now on this day
I think of the Old Man.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I'll be back on the blog after January 1, 2008.

I love the verse and we know exactly how you are feeling. Our hearts are breaking too but Watson and Prince want us to be happy and so we will do our best!
Have a wonderful Christmas loving Waldo and Peanut. XXXXXXXXXXXXX
What lovely words, and I know just what you mean.
I hope you managed to enjoy Christmas as far as possible. I'm glad that our 'boys' are undoubtedly happy, content, and pain-free - however much we miss them....
It's so wonderful to see others create a blog in honour of thier loved friends. Our sweet Sophie is about 7 weeks into her journey with lymophosarcoma and has taught us as all ou friends do, to live each day each moment with as much love in our hearts and light in our heads! Thank you for your dedication to your friend and your help to others.
